Truth or Easy way out
Mitch Album's point in this article was that reporters should think about the questions that they ask more and that people should be careful in the responses that they make. The unnessary question according to Mitch was, ""Do you think there's a role that race plays in this?" I agree with the point that this question did not need to be asked. Mitch was right in my mind for stating that out of all the questions that could have been asked, this is the one that the reporter chose. The question did not bother me as much as the response that LeBron had for this particular question. The response that he came up with was, ""I think so at times. It's always, you know, a race factor." This to me was an excuse. LeBron could have easily stated that thought through his decisions carefully and this is the one he came up with, no matter what race he was, but instead he went with the easy way out. To me this reveals his character. Not only does the answer to this question reveal his character, but what he did with the proceeds of the TV show. LeBron chose to have the money donated publically and not privately. This only proves his big ego that Mitch states. The most effective point that Mitch uses in his artice is, "Because ego knows no color." This shows us that no matter what race you are, you are who you are. This goes the same for LeBron, he is who he is, no matter what race he is.
